TDA Bullpen - Our Writers' Blog

Saturday, February 07, 2004

Well, it's that time of the year, time to start long-tossing again as we ready for another campaign of major league baseball. I ran across this article by Tim Kurkjian about the possibility of a baseball "World Cup" that could happen as early as Spring Training 2005. Sounds like a pretty good idea to me if they can iron out the MLB Players' Union issues that are bound to crop up. It's just too bad that Panama isn't at the same level as a lot of the other Latin American countries; don't know how much help Mariano Rivera would get from the Panama club, or even if they'd be invited.

A place for TDA writers to relax, stretch out, and spitball about the grand game of baseball.
