Mexican Baseball Photos
I moved to San Francisco from Chicago a little while back, and I'm still doing a bit of unpacking. I found this pair of pictures I shot in Mexico. The note on the back tells me "Navojoa @ Mexicali 12-26-99". Click on the photos to see larger versions:
An account of that journey to Mexico can be found at:

Another View of Baseball
One thing I'm missing about baseball right now is the opportunity to take photos.
That might sound a little weird, but over the past season or two I've taken lots of pictures, and it's become part of the baseball experience to me. To me, not taking a camera to the ballpark is sort of like skipping the hotdogs. Catching an infielder as the ball just leaves his hand (like the example below) thrills me as much as watching somebody hit a long home run.
Well, unless I can make it South of the Border, I'm stuck for photo ops until Stanford opens their season in late January. Maybe I'll take the Pac Bell Park tour, or swing by the local batting cages, but that just won't be the same.
Here's a photo of me at the ballpark:

Blogging
While The Diamond Angle has been on the web for nearly two years, it has been an article-based publication to this point. This is something we've carried over from our rich past as a magazine. But the World Wide Web is much more fluid than that. With blogs we can offer our readers the come-and-go inside our minds. We'll see how well this works.
